Midthunder originates from the Fort Peck Assiniboine Tribe. She spent most of her growing up within Santa Fe where her mother was employed at a casting firm as well as attended at the Academy for Technology and the Classics. Amber's father is Native American, and they are both enrolled in the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber is born with an adopted mother as such, which is why Amber does not have any recognized mixed ancestry.
